Privacy Notice

This notice describes what data is processed when you visit phaseline.app, for what purpose, and on what legal basis.

1. Controller

The controller for the data processing on this website is: Cornelius Bolten, Backofengasse 16, 9493 Mauren, Liechtenstein.

E-mail: phaseline.enlighten192@passmail.net

For any question about data protection, an e-mail to that address is enough.

2. What Phaseline is

Phaseline is a free browser tool. There is no account, no sign-up and no login.

Your scenes, maps and background images never leave your browser. They are not uploaded, not stored and not analysed. To share a scene, you export it as a file yourself.

3. Visiting the site (server log files)

When you open a page, your browser sends technical data to the server: IP address, date and time, the address requested, the amount of data transferred, the referring page, and the browser and system identification. This data is technically necessary to deliver the page.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Legitimate interest: operation and security of the website.

The site is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, DE. The provider processes this data on our behalf, under a processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. The servers are located in the European Economic Area.

The log data is deleted after 7 days.

4. Statistics (Google Analytics) — only with your consent

This site uses Google Analytics 4, property G-E3ND4980RJ. It is loaded only after you agree in the notice. Without your agreement, no Google script is loaded and no cookie is set.

Purpose: to see which functions are used and which are not, and to decide from that what to build next. Phaseline is free and has no sales team, so this is our only feedback.

Collected: pages viewed, language, approximate region, device type, browser, referring page, and individual events, for example the start of the editor. No names, no e-mail addresses and no content of your scenes are collected.

Cookies: _ga and _ga_E3ND4980RJ, first party, with a lifetime of up to 24 months.

Provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Data can be transferred to Google LLC in the USA.

Retention at Google: 2 months. Google Signals is off, so there is no cross-device analysis and no use for advertising.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent), together with the rules on access to terminal equipment.

Withdrawal: use the “Analytics” link in the footer of every page. The withdrawal takes effect at once and deletes the cookies. The lawfulness of the processing before the withdrawal is not affected.

5. Storage in your browser

Phaseline stores two things locally in your browser, not on a server: the scene you edited last, so that it is still there on your next visit; and your answer to the privacy question (key pl.consent.v1).

This data is not transmitted. You delete it by clearing the site data in your browser.

6. Images you load yourself

You can load a background image from an internet address. Your browser then calls that address directly, and the third-party server learns your IP address. We have no influence on this and receive nothing from it. To avoid it, load the image as a file from your disk.

7. Other services

This website embeds no fonts, maps, videos and no scripts from third-party servers. Apart from Google Analytics after your consent, your browser makes no connection to third parties.

8. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). You can withdraw a consent you have given at any time. An e-mail to phaseline.enlighten192@passmail.net is enough.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The competent authority is the Datenschutzstelle Liechtenstein, Städtle 38, 9490 Vaduz, Liechtenstein — https://www.datenschutzstelle.li/

The GDPR applies in Liechtenstein through the EEA Agreement. It is supplemented by the Liechtenstein Data Protection Act (Datenschutzgesetz, DSG).

9. Changes to this notice

We adapt this notice when the website changes.
